Chioma, a 28-year-old, 300-level accounting student in one of the northern universities, told FEMI IPAYE at the Kestern Hill hang-out, Garki, Abuja that she warms the bed of two top politicians in the FCT

Chioma.

How are you baby?
I’m fine!

What’s your programme for the night?
I have a date with a friend.

Who is the prey?
An expatriate.

Why a white man? Is that your speciality?
I have bedded three, two of them work for a popular construction company, the other one is an Italian. One thing I noticed about the construction guys is that they don’t like bedding one girl twice. But the Italian guys are real good in bed, though they make use of their hands. Not fingers, their hand.

How do you mean?
They oil their hand and f..k you with it. They thrust the hand down inside you, your vagina.

Don’t you feel pains?
You may bleed, but they give you good money.

Like how much?
$300.00 minimum.

What has been your highest payday?
N250,000.

From Nigerians or the expatriates?
Nigerians.

Do you have some big names on your clientele list?
Yes. Two popular top politicians. You know them, I’ll not name them. They are members of the PDP.

How did you meet them? And how do you meet now?
They go to certain exclusive clubs. As a big babe, I go to the V.I.P. corner, that is where they spend hard currency. In fact, bouncers will not allow you in there if you don’t look like somebody who can spend.

How will the bouncers know?
These guys are pro, that is what they do everyday. We special babes are close to them for good contacts.

How did you get into the ‘runs’ business?
I came into Abuja in 2003 with a friend from the East. Then she was living in Jabi area in just one room. In fact, three of us were staying in that room, and we were eating good food, but I noticed that every night they would go out. And sometimes, I would be the only one left at home for two, three days. One day they bought me a beautiful dress and asked me to put it on, that we would all be going to out to “catch fun”. I didn’t understand. Being a new person in town, I didn’t know anywhere, but I was happy to be going out with them. We ended up in a popular hotel in Garki 11 (name withheld). We met three clean guys there and I was introduced to one. From there, we moved to another hotel, directly opposite the one we were in.
After drinking and dancing, my two friends left with their guys, leaving me with the third guy. The guy later took me to his room where he was lodging. I was so afraid. The guy asked me to pull my dress off. I refused, and he asked, “Didn’t your friends tell you what you were coming here for?” I said they didn’t. He was very angry with me that night because I did not allow him to touch me. And he didn’t give me a dime. The next morning when we got back to the house, my friends were very, very angry with me, and they stopped me from eating their food. A week later, when I couldn’t cope, I just got one okada man (commercial motorcyclist) and he took me to the same hotel where we met the three guys. I was taking a bottle of soft drink when one big man just walked in. I liked the way he talked to me and he looked responsible so I followed him to his hotel. That was my first customer in Abuja. The next morning, he gave me N20,000.00. That was big money to me then…

What about now?
It’s peanuts. I have since moved up. After demolition of our residence in Jabi in 2004, I left my friends and moved to Mpape where I rented my own apartment to start life on my own. With the kind of guys I bed now, N20,000 can’t mean anything. There is money in Abuja to be made big time if you know your way.

Know your way? How? Charms, tricks or what?
Leave story. It is a trade secret.

It is a pity we, as a nation are just waking up to the menace of busines of prostitution. It is like giving it the widest of publicity when The News goes to press with the kind of expose the paper thinks is doing about this outdated business. My experience about these young Girls dated back to 1992 during the reign of formal Osun State Gorvernor Adeleke. Every blessed night, an arrangement was made by his “pimps” to go round all the tertiary Institutions, both in and around the state to bring in all these young school girls into his guest house for “enjoyment”. When they are gardered behind the fence, on their arrival, all his friends would be going behind the fence to make their choice (for the night) from these innocent young girls. Those not fashionable amongst them were promptly returned to their campuses. All these were being carried out almost on daily basis, paying them with stipends. The world has since then moved on hence the method and sophistication employed by the Abuja prostitutes, now. That is the life of deceit and double standard of our so-called leaders – in Nigeria. Their own children are being trained abroad, with the stolen wealth of the nation, firmly in their custody.
